
New Silk Road, an opportunity to showcase Qatar’s potential as Global Hub
The participation of Alsharq Media Management in the first edition of the International Product Exhibition and Conference (IPEC 2018) represents a great opportunity to promote the Dar Al Sharq Group’s organized Qatar Silk Road Exhibition in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in November 2019, confirmed by Mr. Eizeldin Abdulrahman, Executive Director of Alsharq Media Management and Executive Director of Qatar Silk Road Exhibition.
“Qatar’s acquisition to the Silk Road initiative is a qualitative addition to Qatar’s economy, especially as Qatar seeks through its projects to be a regional and international center for international trade through the utilization of existing infrastructure in the country, such as Hamad Port and Hamad Airport. To optimize the use of trade exchanges not only for Qatar but also for the rest of the region and the world. He added that the Silk Road Exhibition organized by Dar Al Sharq Group is an opportunity to present the projects being implemented in the country, especially in the framework of public-private partnership such as the Free Zones, Logistics and other initiatives in this field. And shipping companies to deal with Hamad Port directly as well as the promotion of direct air cargo and display of the latest technologies that include all kinds of shipping services transport and port management of the countries participating in the exhibition.
He pointed the important possibilities provided by the Silk Road to the participating countries where the road corridors to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, while the sea section includes waterways to the countries covered by the initiative. The huge spending of the initiative is expected to benefit the global economy, with investments contributing to economic growth in the target countries and increasing efficiency of their infrastructure, which usually increases resource efficiency and as well, the initiative is heavily linked to the Chinese economy. He pointed the keenness of Alsharq Media Management, which is part of Dar Al Sharq Group, which provides a wide range of services in various fields including design, printing, publishing, planning and organizing various events. Alsharq Media is also responsible for organizing many prominent events including exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops, media activities and public events, and its eagerness to provide all the reasons for the success of the Silk Road Exhibition to enable Qatari and other companies to make the most of such initiatives.
He remarked that Alsharq Media will launch a promotional campaign for the Silk Road Exhibition in Muscat, Oman on the sidelines of the ‘Made in Qatar’ Exhibition to be hosted in November. The company also had made several meetings with a number of trade representatives at the Embassies of India and Spain in Doha, Mediterranean Trade Center of Turkey and Secretary of the Iran-Qatar Chamber of Commerce.
